Gladstone Central Medical Centre is a locally staffed general practice located in the heart of Gladstone's health precinct. GCMC has been an integral part of the local health community in Gladstone for over 10 years & is renowned for supporting doctors who provide medical care of a professional & respectful standard.

 

At GCMC we place a high level of importance on the doctor to patient relationship, with a small practice team of 5 General Practitioners, allied services and a range of visiting specialists.

The medical center is a private billing practice with a high focus on quality patient care.

Patient Responsibility

At Gladstone Central Medical Centre, we take pride in the high standards of care that we provide to our patients. This includes our responsibility in maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone who visits our clinic. We will not tolerate any aggressive or abusive behavior directed towards our staff or other patients. Our goal is to provide compassionate and professional healthcare, and we ask that all of our patients respect our staff and the environment we provide.

Appointments

At Gladstone Central Medical Centre, we are committed to providing the highest quality care in a warm and welcoming environment. Our standard appointments are 15 minutes long, but please advise us if you need a longer consult. While we aim to run on time, we understand that emergencies and complications can occur.  The practice has implemented an automated SMS appointment reminder system for all patients with mobile phones. Patients will recieve a reminder message the previous day.

Cancellation Policy

At Gladstone Central Medical Centre, we have a cancellation policy in place to ensure that all of our patients receive the care they need in a timely manner. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer that time slot to another patient in need. If you do need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make arrangements. If you fail to show up for your appointment or cancel less than 24 hours beforehand, a cancellation fee may apply. Thank you for understanding and respecting our cancellation policy.

Recalls & Reminders

Our practice has a computer recall system for patients. This is done automatically should the Doctor wish to see you regarding results or for reminders of Cervical Screening Tests, immunisations, diabetic reviews/assessments etc. Please let reception if you don’t want this to happen.

Transfer of Records / Fees

We are able to request records on your behalf & also send them to other clinics for a fee. If you have any further questions or need assitance, dont hesitate to reach out to us. We're here to help!
